As graduation season continues, I also want to congratulate every student celebrating this important milestone, from kindergarten promotions to high school, college, trade programs, and beyond. Your hard work matters, and I am proud of you.
I am excited to share a few highlights from last month, including the legislation I am pushing to make California more affordable, strengthen emergency preparedness, protect our water systems, and expand access to critical resources for families.

Legislative Update
The last week of May was House of Origin Week, one of the busiest deadlines of the year at the State Capitol.
This is when bills must pass out of the house where they were introduced, the Assembly or the Senate, to keep moving forward.
I am excited to share that all 16 of my bills have passed the Assembly Floor and are now one step closer to being signed by the Governor.
Long days, late nights, and a lot of work are happening on behalf of District 13.
2026 Non-Profit of the Year
I am proud to recognize LULAC Stockton Council 2060 as District 13's 2026 Nonprofit of the Year.
For more than 50 years, LULAC Stockton has opened doors for local students, supported families in need, and invested in the future of San Joaquin County.
Their impact includes:
- More than $1.3 million in scholarships for local students
- More than 28 years leading the Youth Leadership Conference at San Joaquin Delta College
- More than 50 years of providing Christmas food baskets to families in need
Youth Mental Health
If you have followed my journey before becoming your Assemblymember, you know I have always been passionate about our youth's success, safety, and mental health.
That work continues at the State Capitol. I presented ACR 182 on the Assembly Floor to recognize Youth Mental Health Awareness Week in California and continue raising awareness around the support our young people need.
I am also proud to author legislation that expands career pathways, closes achievement gaps, and helps vulnerable students stay on track when they return to their home school districts.

I joined Stanislaus State's Stockton Campus to celebrate local graduates and the growing opportunities for students to pursue higher education right here in Assembly District 13.

I was honored to keynote the San Joaquin County Office of Education's Seal of Civic Engagement Ceremony, recognizing students who are already using their voices to serve their communities.
Improve Your Tomorrow Graduation Ceremony
I joined Improve Your Tomorrow in Stockton to celebrate young men reaching an important milestone in their education and leadership journey.
Youth-Led CPR and AED Training
I attended a youth-led CPR and AED training to support young people who are stepping up to make a difference in our community.
Tracy Memorial Day Ceremony
I joined the City of Tracy for Memorial Day to honor the servicemembers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and state.
