Assemblymember Rhodesia Ransom’s District Internship
The District Office Internship Program allows high school and college students to learn how a State Assembly office works and gain hands-on experience in public service.
Who can apply: Must be at least 16 years of age
Capital Fellows Program
The Capital Fellows program offers a unique opportunity to participate in policymaking and development in California. Fellows actively engage in public service and prepare for future careers while gaining firsthand experience in governance and leadership.
Who can apply: Must be at least 20 years of age, recent graduate, post graduate or mid-career applicant
City of Tracy Mayor’s Summer Youth Internship
The Mayor’s Summer Youth Internship Program is a paid summer internship that gives high school students an inside look at how the city of Tracy’s government works.
Who can apply: Attending high school within the city of Tracy or living in Tracy
Congressman Josh Harder’s Summer District Internship
The Office of Rep. Josh Harder offers paid district internships with the opportunity to gain real-world experience in government and politics.
Who can apply: Current high school student, undergraduate, or recent graduate
Office of Senator McNerney District Internship
Paid district office internship that gives students hands-on experience in public service, community issues, and the day-to-day work of a state Senate district office.
Who can apply: Current high school student, undergraduate, or recent graduate
Scholarships & Financial Aid
Stockton Scholars
Stockton Scholars is a scholarship and support program for Stockton public high school graduates.
Who can apply: Graduated from a public Stockton high school with a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA & Full-time enrollment
San Joaquin Community Foundation Scholarships
Community-funded scholarships for San Joaquin County high school seniors.
Who can apply: Varies by scholarships and career/education goals
Housing Authority County of San Joaquin Scholarship Foundation (HACSJ)
The Housing Authority Scholarship Foundation provides merit-based scholarships for students interested in post-secondary education or vocational training.
Who can apply: Students living in subsidized affordable housing.
San Joaquin Delta College Scholarships
Delta College awards students annually with hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships to use towards their education.
Who can apply: Varies by scholarship
League of United Latin American Citizens National Educational Service Centers (LNESC)
With the cost of education on the rise, LNESC partners with corporations and grassroots organizations to provide high-need students with scholarships.

California Student Aid Commission: 'Cash for College' Workshops
The California Student Aid Commission holds free in-person or online workshops with financial aid experts who help you complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or CA Dream Act Application (CADAA).
California Dream Act Application (CADAA)
The California Dream Act allows undocumented students, DACA recipients, U-Visa holders, and students under Temporary Protected Status to receive certain types of financial aid. It also allows eligible students to pay in-state tuition at any public college in California.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is an application that students and families need to complete to apply for federal student aid, such as federal grants, work-study funds, and loans.

Who can participate: Open to all District 13 residents.
Assemblymember Ransom’s Young Legislators Program
The Young Legislators Program offers a unique hands-on opportunity to explore the legislative process, strengthen your leadership skills and give back to your community.
Who can participate: High school seniors in Stockton, Tracy, Mountain House or French camp.
Tracy Youth Advisory Commission
The Tracy Youth Advisory Commission can make recommendations and advise city leadership on issues related to youth welfare in the city of Tracy.
Who can participate: Current high school students in the Tracy area
City of Mountain House Youth Action Committee
The Youth Action Committee allows Mountain House youth to develop or recommend community programs that assist in the growth and development of the Mountain House community.
Who can participate: Mountain House students 6th-12th grade
San Joaquin County Youth Leadership Academy
The Youth Leadership Academy is a summer leadership academy that provides high school students with the opportunity to develop both personal and professional leadership development skills.
Who can participate: Open to all students in San Joaquin County
Brady: United Against Gun Violence Youth-Led Initiative
The Brady Youth-Led Initiative works to educate and mobilize young people to be advocates for gun violence prevention legislation in their own communities.
Who can participate: Ages 13-26
Changeist
The Changeist program is an out-of-school program that brings youth together to learn a common civic language, engage in dialogue, and build community to explore local and national challenges. As a Changeist you are given opportunities, skills, and resources to enact real change in your community.
Who can participate: Ages 11-26
Career Exploration
San Joaquin County WorkNet Youth Program
The WorkNet Youth Program supports our youth who encounter substantial barriers to succeeding in the labor market. This program provides resources and support to help with the transition to self-sufficiency within the job market.
Who can participate: Ages 16 to 24
San Joaquin Building Futures Academy/YouthBuild
Provides youth in need of a diploma with on-the-job training and support toward obtaining a high school diploma.
Who can participate: Ages 18 to 24
Transitional Age Youth (TAY) Program
Free mentorship and youth support program that assists youth with the transition into adulthood.
Who can participate: Ages 16 to 25
Stockton Police Youth Activities Application
The Stockton Police Youth Activities is a non-profit supported by Stockton Police Officers who help young adults develop the skills and leadership needed to possibly become future police officers.
Who can participate: Varies by program
Stockton Youth Employment Summer Success (Y.E.S.S) Program
Annually the City of Stockton provides paid summer jobs to 100 youth who live in Stockton.This program provides five weeks of valuable work experience for young people in the community.
Who can participate: City of Stockton resident, ages 16-19

The YMCA of San Joaquin County
The YMCA is dedicated to serving our community providing programs and services to inspire our youth to reach their greatest potential. Programs and services consist of sports, mentorship, tutoring and more.
