San Joaquin County Agriculture and Economic Impact
San Joaquin County is one of California’s leading agricultural regions, with annual agricultural production valued in the billions of dollars. The county’s farms grow a wide range of crops and raise livestock that support local jobs, family farms, and businesses throughout the Central Valley.
Major agricultural products from San Joaquin County include milk, almonds, cherries, grapes, walnuts, tomatoes, eggs, and cattle. The region is also home to more than 260,000 beehives used to pollinate crops that feed people across California and the nation. In 2024, food grown in San Joaquin County was shipped across California and exported to nearly 100 different countries worldwide.
